“I’d like my sculptures to be a part of the environment and not to dominate Nature.
I want to leave the spectator with opportunities of finding touch stones with natural and man-made things within the sculpture.” – Quote by the artist

This was in amongst the conifer plantation to the north of Carron Crag Trig Point, directly next to Harbour. Consisting of as the name suggests 1250 willow branches tightly woven into three orbs and suspended high in the trees.

Sadly I didn’t know this sculpture existed until years after it had gone. Created 1997 but not included on either the 1997 map or 2000 (but was on 1998 which we didn’t have). Whether it had gone prior to 2000 or was simply overlooked I am not sure. It is a shame as I would have undoubtedly walked past it without knowing it was there.

The archive lists it as going in 2003 which would coincide with the clear felling of the area at that time. But begs more questions as to why it wasn’t listed on earlier maps.
