Located 100 yards off the main path, on a plateau just up the path from The Signpost a similar work by Koenig, at Scale Green. As it was a little way off the Silurian Way Signpost helped people locate the piece. This was a collection of different shaped posts carved from wood. Each individual, there were at least 8 some were very small and here are hidden by bracken.

Photographs by Robzet taken approximately 1996

Quote from the Artist: “I shaped them with a chain-saw and with chisels to give detail. I followed the shape of the wood. The numbers were… quite arbitrary: two very long ones, two medium, and a few smaller… I carved a message on one of the trunks ‘Good people share the Compound with Redundant Symbols’.”

Listed on the 1988 map but not on the 1991, it was still in place in around 1996 with all 6 symbols so I am unsure as to why it was no longer on maps. It must have slowly disappeared over the following years.
