The second Marimba sited just past the first bend in the trail. This is one of two instruments Menter made for visitors to play. Consisting of six vertical pieces of wood held in a frame in front of six holes built into the wall around the sculpture. Originally two sticks with rubber ends were tide onto the instrument, when the vertical wooden bars were struck the noise created would echo out of the rabbit holes. When walking on Carron Crag you could clearly hear the noise of this marimba echoing across Grizedale Valley.

This instrument lasted the longest of the three, it was extremely worn by the end after over 15 years of being played. The beaters are also long since gone at this point, if you wanted to play it you had to find a nearby stick to do it with. It was still listed on maps at this point, in 2006 but went not too long after. The wall with the holes in is still distinguishable as you walk along the trail.
