Quote from the artist: “I wanted a friendly image to come across and one that could be simply enjoyed. I feel this was achieved because after a few weeks the site had turned into a popular picnic place, with children playing on the sculpture.”
Listed as being up at Ormandy Intakes, it was where Red Sandstone Fox is now. It is a large wooden rabbit which doubles as a seat. It was not listed on the 1988 map so went prior to then.
Artist’s other work in Grizedale –
Marshland Figure – 1980
Sheep & Dry Stone Wall – 1980
