Trail: High Bowkerstead Trail
Theme: Nature
Form: Realism
Maps Featured on: 1998 – 2006
Status: Decommissioned, remains still visible Dec 2020
Inspired by piled of logs awaiting collection after felling, this is a miniature stack of logs covered over and cast in lead. This was positioned on the silurian way at Bowkerstead. Just down from light columns 2 & 3. Above is a negative scan from when it still looked new.
Over the years the metal did start warping and holes appeared letting rain water in degrading the wood inside. In 2016 the lead was stolen and subsequently the wood inside has rotted away. There is still a distinct area where it was with some wood and string remaining.
