Quote from the Artist “The stile, an iconic symbol of the English landscape, alludes to the feelings of freedom gained from walking surrounded by nature and it speaks of journeys, transitions and movement.”
Photographs taken December 2017
Located in Battersea Park London until 2012 when it moved to Grizedale. This is a large white oversized concrete stile, which can me climbed over with much effort (Muddy boots have made it not so white anymore). Positioned on the Grizedale Tarn Trail right at a ford in a stream, making two hurdles to get over at this site.
