Quote from the artist – “Our chosen job is to make links between the ‘natural’ and the ‘man made’ environment, between ‘wood’ the material and ‘wood’ the place.”
Acting as the entrance to the Ridding Wood trail, this tall wooden structure acts as a natural archway you walk through this sculpture to proceed onwards.
Photographs Taken September 2017
The sculpture was a welcome to the Ridding Woodd trail, often the first trail anyone visiting Grizedale walks. It survived over 30 years but sadly no longer remains.
