Quote from the artist – “Split a 26 foot oak trunk with wedges into three lengths, roped the pieces together to form a tripod. Chose a bleak, exposed site where three paths meet, pinned the structure with metal spikes to the ground.”

A huge wooden tripod sited near where Red Sandstone Fox is now. The photograph above showing it’s height in relation to Nash, during construction. It must have gone prior to 1987 as it is not listed on the map.
