Just above the Visitor centre on the steep path towards the Tarns. A carved wooden bench, a sister seat to Oak Wave across the valley. Positioned to have amazing views down the Grizedale Valley towards the sea. I’ve sat on this seat on a clear day and seen Blackpool Tower.

The photo above is of it when it was brand new. Below my photo from 2017, as you can see the wood is deteriorating, plus the tree boughs have grown so low you basically sit in a tree now. The views remain as good as ever.
