Positioned just off the Silurian Way, above the visitor centre. This was a tall metal structure with a square top, which has a large rock somehow suspended upside down underneath it.

The artwork is inspired by the mining in the local area. The shape being reminiscent of a mine shaft. Jill collected the copper used to make the sclupture from the slopes of Coniston which used to be home to numerous copper mines.IMG_1752web

Originally housed in tall trees as seen here. It was then exposed and could be seen from the car park. Not long after this it was removed completely.
