“Lone seat is an uncomfortable throne, a chair carved from one piece of wood. Is it a statement of isolation and inaccessibility?. It is certainly not a place to rest, and has a sad quality about it.” Meg Falconer, craftswomen at Grizedale, 1996.

Positioned near the end of the Ridding Wood trail, close to Pacus seat. It was a tall, thin throne, just about big enough for one person to sit on. It went around 1997.
