Material: Wood

Trail: Moor Top

Theme: Nature

Form: Abstract

Maps Featured on: 1997 – 2005

Status: Decommissioned, no Pinnacles remain

Sited in Juniper Tarn, close to the car park at Moor Top in the tarn near the car park. 8 large wooden carved wooden spikes of varying heights sticking out of the water. The highest out of the water was 8 feet high. The original title for the work was ‘Sitka Spruce Trunks’, Bill Grant made Kent change the name to something more snappy, the same with Columns. Above is how they looked when new. Over time the colour faded and they became more camouflaged.

As of 2018 only one (and a half) remained standing. The others having rotted and snapped over time. The tarn they are in is now overgrown and drying up. A contrast to how it looked when they were installed, when the water was clear.

As of July 2019 there are now none left standing.
