Storm Arwen hit the north in November 2021, it toppled innumerous trees especially in the Lake District around the south lakes area. The Millwood trail was badly hit, with very tall specimen trees sited next to an open field, they stood no chance against a hurricane level north easterly wind. Unfortunately when these trees came down they fell on Checkpoint.
