I have never seen this sculpture listed on a map but feel confident to assume it was placed on the Silurian Trail around Ormandy Intakes, a part of the forest I have seen called ‘Sawrey Bank’ on a map. To me this looks like a ballerina with one leg stretched high above the figures head, I could be completely wrong but this is what I see. Not listed on the 1981 map, must have gone before then.
Artist’s other work in Grizedale –
Forest Flight– 1978
Beech Watch – 1978
The Rider (Forest Traveller) – 1978
