Quote from the artist – “Many parts of the forest are crisscrossed with stone walls and I wanted to use the structure of these. The sheep was made in the studio… the section of wall was then constructed around the sheep using stone from one of the many walls that have fallen down.”
A carved wooden sheep over a dry stone wall. Positioned off the Silurian Trail on the eastern most side of the forest. It was listed up until the 1991 map, so must have gone in the early 90s.
