Sited on the high road on the Ridding Wood Trail towards the end. Made out of steel in the same style as his other work in Grizedale, Mea Culpa. Janus is the roman god of beginnings and is often depicted with two heads as he looks to both the future and the past.

Over the summer 2018 it has been removed, I believe it started listing due to visitors climbing up to it. It seems it was taken down before it fell over completely. Having asked in the centre it was on loan so could possibly not be reinstalled in the forest.
