Quote from the Artist: “The Arrival is a tranquil fusion of organic forms, a mediative site specific sculpture with a functional purpose. On entering the structure its form enfolds the visitor offering shelter and a vantage point from which to ponder the view of distant hillsides. This is a form of the high places, treetops, grassy hillsides and skies.”

Up a steep path at Bowkerstead, this wooden sculpture was also a seat which looked out over the valley. You could see it from the road when the trees had no leaves. I thought it resembled a bat from below.
